In our house, summer hasn’t officially begun until we start making homemade popsicles and freezies! Are you with me!? We don’t ever eat your regular freezies filled with food dyes and toxic, cancer-causing ingredients. Instead, we make our own gut-healing, probiotic, anti-inflammatory, nutritious freezies at home with just a few simple ingredients.
You wont BELIEVE how FREAKING good these are! I promise I’m not lying when I say even the pickiest of picky eaters would LOVE these! The are packed with so much flavour that your kids (and yourself) won’t be missing out at all!
- Half a sweet seedless watermelon, frozen
- 1 full bottle of Welo Strawberry basil probiotic (use code MARLA30) drink or 250 mL of coconut water or regular water
- 10 organic fresh basil leaves
- Juice of 1/2 lime
- 3 tbs yacon syrup or stevia
Blend all ingredients on high until a slushie texture is formed. Pour into BPA-free, sealable freezie bags using a funnel and freeze overnight.
The best way to eat freezies, in my opinion, are by mushing the freezie in the bag before opening to create a slushy texture haha! ENJOY!
